Vernon Township is a modern day community and though it wasn’t founded by Vikings or old Norse settlers its High School Sports Teams are “the Vikings”. It also has Viking Village and another Norse named business. It started out as a farming community as did most early Norse/Viking communities.

The foundation has created several websites for use by residents and/or businesses along with Vernon Township community related endeavors. Information on and links to them will continue to be added in the coming weeks and months
